Story
I am committing to cycling 100 miles in June as by the end of June we will have been under lockdown measures for 100 days (regardless of how this may have eased by the end of June). I am currently waiting to have major knee surgery so am limited to what challenges I can do! Cycling 100 miles either on my stationary bike or push bike is going to be a challenging but achievable goal!
Please help me raise at least £100 for Tenovus!
I am a PhD student who is lucky enough to be working with Tenovus Cancer Care. My research is focused on the psychosocial impact of cancer and this is one of the ways that Tenovus support people affected by cancer.
Please read below about how the pandemic has affected Tenovus as a charity...
Help Give Hope.Tenovus Cancer Care has been dedicated to supporting cancer patients in Wales for over 75 years; and even in uncertain, worrying times like these, we will continue to support cancer patients and strive to raise vital funds to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. With the current Coronavirus situation, we are continuing to do everything we possibly can to help cancer patients. However, we've unfortunately been forced to cancel a wide range of events, resulting in a huge impact on the charity with a large deficit of income. It is now critical that we raise as much money as possible. Please help us to keep our vital services open - our Support Line is open 365 days a year- offering a friendly voice and advice regarding cancer. They are now working harder than ever before, and are inundated with calls from people concerned about cancer and the Coronavirus. In these difficult times of need, please help Tenovus Cancer Care cope, so we can continue to deliver hope.
