Hello everybody!

 I have watched my best friend run two marathons in the past couple of years. Witnessing her highs and lows. I remember her out of breath phone calls during her training, and me thinking "you have run HOW many miles???!!" Running was always something other friends did whilst i kept active in other ways like yoga and dancing. I never ever thought i would take part in any sort of running event. I was always there to cheer and donate but was always to scared to take part. 

Up until about 5 months ago, running for longer than 10 minutes  was a huge achievement to me and the idea of running any amount of Kilometers or Miles was enough to bring me out in a cold sweat.

Things are about to change. I SHALL be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 12th.  My running vest has arrived from the wonderful "Children's Heart Federation" my chosen charity. My running shoes are dusted off and after months of training the day has nearly arrived! 

The wonderful charity that I shall be running for is the "Children's Heart Federation" I am running in memory of a young man called Thomas Wright. I never had the pleasure of getting to know this young gentlemen,  although his memory lives on through his incredible family who i am now lucky enough to feel a part of.  He fought a huge battle due to his heart condition and was sadly taken at the age of 15. 

"The Children's Heart Federation" is dedicated to helping children who are born with heart problems or develop problems in their younger years. They are a parent led charity, consisting of over 20 registered organisations whose main aim is the support of families of children with heart conditions. The main vision for the charity is a society in which all children with congenital heart conditions, have both their social and medical needs met so they can live life to the full.

 No donation is too small OR too large ;) Anything you can spare will provide help to families across UK and Ireland who have children with heart defects.  Your donations adding up and the support i receive will really make this training MUCH more bearable and i promise i won't let you down!!
