I decided to set up a just giving page when I heard about an organisation called the Little Princess Trust. This trust was created in 2005 in memory of Hannah Tarplee after she lost her battle with cancer. Her story inspired me because when she was going through chemotherapy she lost the majority of her natural hair, her parents struggled to obtain a wig in a child's size and it was very expensive to have one made. Like Hannah, many others struggle with illnesses that provoke hair loss. My aim is to donate my hair so a new wig can be made and raise £350 so a new wig can be bought through the charity.
This charity means a lot to me as last year, my cousin Charlotte was battling ovarian cancer. Not only did she have to deal with this horrible illness, but it was leading up to her wedding day. Fortunately, her chemotherapy stopped a few weeks before the big day and she was just getting back to her normal self, however she was still suffering from hair loss at that point. As confident as she was despite her hair loss it was lovely to see her face when her wig got fitted for her big day. Charlotte is one of the most caring, outgoing, bubbly people I've ever known. She's been through so much but never lets anything phase her, she is my inspiration.
Please donate and help me to support the Little Princess Trust!
