Throughout 2021 I learned about The Eve Appeal through research of a gynaecological issue I was experiencing. The research I did on Vulvar Cancer turned out to be invaluable, because in December 2021, my mother in law was diagnosed with stage 1b Vulvar Cancer.

Before my research, I had never even heard of VC, nor had my mother in law, until the day she had to. Getting a cancer diagnosis is hard enough, but when you find out that it will affect a very personal part of your body, a part of your body that you don't necessarily want to talk about to your friends and family, it can be even harder.

For the next 30 days I aim to do 100 squats a day to raise money and awareness for a charity who aims to break the taboos around gynae health so that everyone knows their normal and is comfortable talking about any changes. To encourage women to get the medical help they need, when they need it.
