Story
You may or may not know that my Dad is a bit of a running legend when it comes to the London Marathon. Having ran it six times his PB is 2:36, yes you read that right! I was lucky enough to get a ballot place in 2015 and made it round / crawled round in 4:32 (yep 2 hours behind Dad).
Like most Dads he's hard to buy birthday presents for, but to celebrate his 60th birthday he decided he wanted us to do a 'big' race together...well I got stitched right up when he suggested London. I begrudgingly agreed and once we had our places confirmed he threw in that our training plan would be based on getting me round in under 4 hours (HELP!!).
We have been training four times a week since the 7th November and when we are on the start line we would of covered 880 miles taking us from Lands End to John O'Groats.
Whilst this is a personal challenge it is also a great opportunity to raise some money for a local charity. We have chosen The Jessie May Trust, a Children's Hospice caring for terminally ill children.
We have set ourselves a target of £3,000! Any donation you could make would certainly help me (Dad will be fine) get to the finish line and most importantly support the future of The Jessie May Trust. This year fundraising from the London Marathon will break the £1,000.000,000 mark....be part of it! Thank you so much #thanksabillion
