Story
Hello everyone! As many of you know I have recently been volunteering in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) at an orphanage for disabled children. Unfortunately, the orphanage is still needing and relying on donations, and as it is still a Third World Country, you can imagine that standards are no where near what you would find here in the UK. Although love and care is given to these precious children, supplies are short and we are constantly looking to improve, so that their life can be lived as content and comfortable as possible, whether it be buying simply things like more baby wipes, or larger things like specialised wheelchairs for those children that need it.
I am doing everything in my power to raise money for the orphanage, and believe me when I say that every little bit helps.
The first day I worked at the orphanage, I just wanted to cry and run away, it is truly heart breaking, but then you see these children smile and laugh with you whilst you sing them a song or just give them some attention.
I thought it would be a good idea to host a cake and coffee morning, which I will do in Stamford (address released later), where I will provide everything we need for a nice morning of cake, coffee/tea, chatting and music! All I ask is for small donations towards the cake and coffee (like the McMillan coffee morning). Help me raise as much as I can during this event. If you need anymore motive to attend, please just send me a message and I will send you some photos of these incredible children and a more detailed account of the work I did, and how every little donation helps!
C'mon everyone, lets start with little steps towards making a change!
