My middle 2 Girls were born with holes in their Hearts which also effected valves and heart rythm. Between them they have undergone 6 Open Heart Surgeries. Unfortunately, Alice has also experienced a series of major complications which has put her at risk of death on several occasions. These included, Sepsis, Chylothorax, Blood clots and Endocarditis. We believe over the last 6 years we have spent around 14 months in hospital and everyday there are medicines Alice takes which quite literally keep her alive. 

Heart Heroes supports families, like mine, who's  children are living with congenital heart disease and heart problems. Their goal is for the children and their siblings to be involved in inclusive events, along with parents, grandparents and other close family. Every day 13 babies are diagnosed with a heart defect/condition in the UK. Heart Heroes currently supports a fraction of these families but with your help they can extend their reach and provide support groups and events throughout the country.
