Story
As a child I was dragged up mountains for ‘fun’ and hated every second. Those of you who knew my Mum and know my dad will know how much they absolutely loved walking. As an adult I seem to be morphing more and more into my mum and now dare I say it, I actually enjoy walking. So when the challenge arose to walk the national 3 peaks in two days I thought why not?! Something I know my mum would have jumped at the chance of and also something that I know I will find both physically and mentally challenging. Both reasons I believe are very worthy of raising some money for Macmillan; a charity so close to our hearts. What they do changes peoples lives and makes the whole experience of the dreaded C word, more bearable and for that I will continue to challenge myself to raise money for them.
In September, we’ll be driving up to Scotland on Friday 24th, climbing Nevis on Saturday and then driving to Scafell pike. Sunday morning we will climb Scafell Pike, drive to Snowdon and climb Snowdon..
Thank you to anyone who supports this challenge, anything big or small will help so many people through the heartbreaking ordeal that is the C word xxx
This is for you my Jilly 🦋💙
