Story
I did it, and had a wonderful time - although the last 200m was the longest stretch ever! What an amazing atmosphere and such a gorgeous location to have the pleasure to run, with beautiful trees and plants around every turn - and a gruffalo or two thrown in for good measure. Donations still open for another few days, and every penny goes to fund the ongoing of this very special place.
I'm running for the trees this year to support Westonbirt, The National Arboretum. Westonbirt is such a special place that means so much to so many - locals and visitors alike enjoy something different each time they visit. Sometimes I visit for an energising run with my friends and dog, other days it's with my children to run and play, and some days its just for a little peace and headspace. I'll be running with friends from my awesome run club, the Nibley Hub runners - they make running fun!
This is a precious place - lets make sure it stays here and open for visitors to enjoy for hundreds of years to come.
Please make a donation to help me reach my target. Every pound helps to protect trees and enrich lives. Together we can save trees from the brink of extinction, inspire a young person to a career in nature, and help families access safe, green spaces.
