Story
I turn 40 in 2023 and instead of throwing a party I wanted to do something that gave back, that gave me the opportunity to help those less fortunate than myself.
Not a story from my childhood that I share often. However when I was 12 my family were made homeless, I vividly remember going to school one morning knowing full well that we might not have a bed to sleep in that evening, had it not of been for the support my mum received during those days I’m not sure quite where we would have ended up.
This is why I chose to support Noah because the funds raised from this adventure will help those suffering from severe poverty and homelessness, help provide hot meals, clothing, medical support and assistance into temporary and permanent housing.
Since losing my mother last July, the most common memory of her shared by so many people was simply how kind she was. She didn’t have much but she would always spare you her time and help whoever needed it. Something I want to carry on in remembrance of her.
NOAH is hosting its first ever trekking challenge to the incredible island of Madagascar.Departing November 18 to 29 2023, this twelve day challenge offers a once-in-lifetime adventure, spending five days trekking through the spectacular jungles of Andringitra National Park, before helping at a community project.Fitness levels must be maximised as the group will summit the islands highest peak Pic Boby and neighbouring Chameleon Peak, encountering remarkable views. We will also be on the lookout for the endangered lemurs and other unique wildlife of the island. This challenge will provide an opportunity to raise much needed funds for NOAH, whilst giving the participant an experience and challenge theyll never forget.
