<p>This started out as a chance for me to experience a parachute jump - not quite sure why now!!</p> <p>However after working at Rose Road for a few months I have come to appreciate just how valuable their work is.</p> <p>Being shown around the school and being told to be sensitive to any parents you encounter on a Wednesday because they schedule 'end of life planning'&nbsp; and being told that some children need their water thickened because they are unable to even swallow water is very focusing.</p> <p>Rose Road have a school, Outreach Centre and provide Respite Care for parents that desperatley need a break - some parents have to sleep in shifts as their chilrdren can not be left alone at any time. The faciliities they have are wonderfull but there is always more that needs to be done.
