Story
This originally read... I can't quite believe I'm writing this but on April 26th 2020, I will be taking part in the London Marathon in aid of St John's Ambulance. However, I will now be running on 4th October, just a little longer to train!
St John's provide an incredible service in providing charitable first aid services for events that may not be able to take place without their support. Which I have been lucky enough or probably more realistically unlucky to have experienced first hand. Just over a year ago I tore my ACL whilst playing hockey and thankfully St Johns were on hand to rescue / remove me from the pitch (please see above my cover photo of the legend John who was enjoying the sunshine before he was required to wheel me off the pitch). Following an ACL reconstruction, I feel very privileged not only to be back running but to be undertaking the challenge of my first marathon. I am proud to be raising both awareness for St John's; who also help more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through their various training programmes, and funding which will help save lives this year.
I will, of course, be updating this page and my instagram - zoeolivia_j as my training and fundraising progresses. But for now, thank you for visiting!
I am eternally grateful for any donation however big or small for this fantastic cause.
