Story
In 2012 I had Cauda Equina Syndrome which happens when the cauda equina at the end of the spinal cord is compressed. I have been left with chronic pain and permanent nerve damage which has changed the feeling and function of my body from the waist down. But, it could have been a lot worse - I came frighteningly close to being paralysed.
Jacob says 'I am a young carer for my Mum and I try my hardest to help her. Please donate to help people like my Mum, to try and restore people's lives. Thank you very much.'
Jacob and I swimming for spinal injury to help people who aren't as fortunate as I have been. Every eight hours someone is paralysed by a Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice, housing and grants that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently. This is a big challenge, but the more we raise, the more of a difference we'll make, so please be generous!
