Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Recently some close friends Al and Laura had a beautiful baby boy who unfortunately was diagnosed with a condition known as Biliary Artresia. It’s a serious condition which affects the liver and often results in the child needing a liver transplant. Since October last year they have been in and out of the hospital and now Billy is on the transplant list it means many more months of hospital stays to come.
During the time Billy has been in the hospital his parents have been staying in the Ronald McDonald houses. They support families while their child receives care and treatment in a specialist children's hospital by giving them a warm and welcoming place to rest their heads, just a moment away from their child. Over the last 29 years they have helped tens of thousands of families during some of the toughest periods in their lives.
Knowing they will need the support of this charity for a lot longer and seeing the difference it has made to them and many other families, I have decided to take on a challenge and take part in a 66-mile bike ride through the New Forrest to try to raise money for Ronald McDonald houses. It’s going to be tough (especially the hills) but I'm up for the challenge.
So please support me by donating whatever you can or even if you just put some change in the boxes at the till next time you go to McDonald’s we will be very grateful!
Thank you
