Story
I am running the London Marathon for The Greater London Fund for the Blind in memory of my grandpa, who became partially sighted in his 30s and struggled with mobility and independence, never managed to go back to work, and felt excluded from many aspects of his former life.
Less than a quarter of the 200,000 people in London living with sight loss are offered support and mobility training. As a result, only a quarter of people living with sight loss are employed and often feel excluded from social and cultural life.
Let's support The Greater London Fund for the Blind to help blind and partially sighted people like my grandpa to gain independence, find employment and participate in all that life has to offer!
