Story
As some of you may know my son jake was diagnosed with liver cancer at 7 months of age, as a family we stayed postive and strong for jake. He was an absolute hero throughout. We had to watch him suffer awful side affects from chemo, one that is a constant reminder of his battle is his hearing loss but jake has adapted and tries his hardest at everything. At 10 months old he had to have a liver transplant as the surgeons couldn't be sure they would get rid of the tumour without the cancer possibly returning. Jake is of course my inspiration for choosing this charity in the hope they can keep working to find ways to stop children suffering from cancer which believe me isn't rare, also in memory of the children who sadly lose their battle. At Children with Cancer UK we actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Our vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
