Snowdon moonlight walk page

Becky has decided for her birthday we should walk Snowdon, we are starting at 6pm and aim to be on the summit for the sunset and to descend in the darkness and arrive at the foot of Snowdon at 2am. We are raising money to Paul Sheridan's memorial fund, this fund offers free cardiac screening for 14-35 year old. It costs the charity £50 per person it screens.
In April 2014, my brother in law Paul died suddenly whilst cycling home from work. He had an undiagnosed cardiac condition called ARVC.
Paul was 34 years old and left behind my wonderful sister and their 7month old son James. Paul was a dedicated physiotherapist working with some of Great Britain's elite athletes.
He was one of the fittest men I've ever met, he had run 7 marathons, would cycle and run after work for fun.
CRY were invaluable in their support of us and all our families and friends, providing cardiac pathology support, cardiac screening for Paul’s relatives as well as counselling and support in very difficult circumstances.
To date, we have raised over £19k and screened over 300 young people in the Buxton area for hidden cardiac conditions, with at least two people being identified as being at significant risk of young sudden cardiac death.
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
