Story
Home start Northampton are such a kind and generous group of people.
Back in October I have birth to sebby my second little boy. I had a history of post natal depression and was put on antidepressants before the birth. When the perinatal team suggested home start I was dubious as I didn't want to use services that "other people needed more than me".
I was encouraged to contact them anyway. I am so glad I did! They contacted me to arrange a visit and I told them the same thing. "There must be more out there that need you more than I" "you are just as deserving as anyone else for the service" (nearly cried)
They have done so much for me in the weeks after. Janie talked to me and didn't talk to me when I didn't want to talk. They helped me manage Jacks two-rrorist tendancies. They made him a target board. She helped watch the boys while I tidied the house.
This was all before lockdown. After, I have had weekly phone calls to check in with me. They have provided as much support as they could from a distance.
They on occasion send us things to help with the children. Toys and nappies, socks and food.
This is why I want to raise money for them. To help other families just as they have helped mine. When the boys are in school I will volunteer but until then.
Let's raise what we can for this fantastic charity.
