On 31 July 2021, I will be taking part in the Dedham Vale Mighty Hike, a marathon in Constable Country starting at Kentwell Hall in Long Melford.  The route explores the beautiful wildflower meadows, picturesque villages and ancient woodlands of the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

I will be taking part in this event for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of my father who was looked after by Macmillan and was utterly amazed at their care and generosity of time.  I am also remembering my grandfather who was treated for 3 different forms of cancer, so successfully that cancer was not the cause of his death at the age of 91.

I am a keen runner but know my limits!  So this will be an opportunity to complete a marathon distance, but at a walking pace!  I will be joined by some good friends and will be able to carry refreshments!
