I recently came across The Little Princess Trust (http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/). This trust takes donated hair at the minimum length of 7 inches and makes wigs for boys and girls suffering with hair loss after receiving cancer treatments.

"The Little Princess Trust" will receive my hair donation of 8 inches, but in memory of my very good friend, Leanne Brownhill all money raised will be donated to "Cardiac Risk in the Young".

Leanne was very sadly taken from us in November 2013. Over the years that I have known her she has consistently been one of the best. She has always been there for me and without her I don't think I would have the life and the friends that I do now. By raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young I hope I can give back to a charity that does so much good, and make Leanne proud.

Anyone that knows me will be aware that I love my hair and cutting it is so scary. At one point in my life my hair wasn't cut for years, because I was so scared of the outcome. Once I got over my fear I have stuck to the same hairdresser and pretty much the same style.

Although I have my apprehensions it is incredibly liberating to know that my hair will help someone who needs it much, much more than me while raising money and awareness for a great charity that will help people in similar sitatuons to my wonderful friend.
