Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
St Catherines is a charity I admire and hold close to my heart, the work they carry out with both the patients and their families is truly amazing and they thoroughly deserve all the help they can get, you never know if one day you may need their help.
My story is on the 17th march 2007 my mum was diagnosed with stage 5 terminal kidney and bone cancer after a month in hospital she was then transferred to St Catherines Hospice where they cared for, and supported my beautiful mum for the last 4 weeks of her life and they let my mum pass away with the dignity she deserved.
The staff there also supported myself and my 3 sisters Ria,Katie and Sharna and my nan through what felt like a rollercoaster ride for us and probably the most difficult and heartbreaking experience we have ever endured.
The staff new us all by name and was always there for us to answer any questions, offer moral support and even a hug if we needed it they truly are amazing.
I can never bring my mum back however her memory will always live on and I am doing this walk in my mums memory and also to raise money for the many other families who sadly are going through the same experience as we once did so please please sponser me how ever small the donation it will be greatly recieved and appreciated.
Thankyou for looking at my page.
In memory of my beautiful Mum, Sara O'Connell who fell asleep on 19th May 2007 aged 47years.
On earth you suffered, in heaven you rest, god needed an angel, so he took the best.
Love you always mum, gone but never forgotton x
