Eilidh was a classmate of mine from the age of 5 right up until we were 15, when she was diagnosed with cancer. While the rest of us went on to do our Standard Grades, Eilidh died 9 days before her 16th birthday. During her illness, she and her family took a vacation to Calum's Cabin, which allowed them to create some more happy memories before her untimely death. Her family have since made it their project to help others now in the situation they were, by building a respite holiday home in the Stirling area for young people and their families who are suffering from cancer. The Brown family have been incredibly strong through their tragedy and inspirational in their fundraising attempts.
