Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year, members of the Eye Department in Sheffield cycled from London to Paris and raised money to support cataract surgery in India.
This year some of us are cycling the 500 miles from Inverness, west to Ullapool up to Durness, across then top of Scotland to John o Groats and back down the east cost to Inverness, carrying tents and supplies with us.
Virtual Doctors provides advice and support for health-care workers in rural Zambia allowing them access to medical advice when working in the field. We hope that our Department will be part of the team offering that advice and this event starts our support for this charity. Having been born and grown up in rural Zambia, it is a cause close to my heart and sponsoring us "a penny a mile" would make a big difference.
