Assalamualaikum,
The people living in Gaza are facing the worst economic conditions in years. The ongoing blockade imposed on Gaza and the assaults since 2018 have had a devastating impact. This includes a sharp rise in unemployment, low purchasing power, inflation and massive infrastructure damage. All of which have contributed to the reduction of food security for families in Gaza.
Gaza is in the grip of a humanitarian crisis. In a region ravaged by conflict and with no end in sight, people are struggling to rebuild their communities and their lives. Over 80% of Gaza’s population are dependant of international assistance and many families are living is desperate poverty.
Penny Appeal is on the ground providing food packs to the most vulnerable. Without constant hunger and the worry of where the next meal will come from, people can start to plan for the future. Children can focus on their education and parents can earn a living.
A food pack costs just £50 and can provide a family with food for an entire month. I am hoping to raise £500 which can give this much needed aid to ten families and help them get back on their feet.
JazakAllah Khair.
