Story
As Muslim women we are continuously undermined and our abilities both intellectually and physically questioned due to the Hijab. Yet many young Muslim women like myself testify to the benefits of the hijab and vow that it has always benefited us rather then prevented us from achieving any of our dreams and ambitions.
Next week I will attempt to climb Ben Nevis the highest mountain in the British Isles. Standing at 1,346 metres (4,414 ft) above sea level!! Which will take approximately 8 hours!
Next Saturday (16th July 2016), I shall be climbing with a group of sisters whilst carrying the flag of Imam Ali (the previous flag which sat on the dome of the shrine). Imam Ali is a man who stood against any form of injustice and oppression. The purpose of the climb is to lift the flag of Imam Ali on the summit of Britain raising much required funds for the Ahlulbayt Foundation - a charity that has played a tremendous role in speaking out against injustice and promoting the peaceful message of the Ahlulbayt (as) to a global audience via the medium of Ahlulbayt TV.
I need your help to hit my target. I humbly request you to support me in whatever capacity you can.
No challenge is too big for us. Lets do this!
