In memory of my dad, John Fairhead, who passed away in January 2014 my brother and I will be walking the 23km length of the Chelmer & Blackwater navigation from Heybridge Basin to Chelmsford.

We aim to raise money for Farleigh Hospice who cared for my dad through his final days and gave us great support as a family.

The river & canal were a constant source of happiness in my dad's life from fishing on it when he lived in Chelmsford, through to days out on his river boat "Teacup" with family & friends. We spent many happy times walking to Beeleigh Lock or enjoying the beauty of the scenery where the canal meets the river at Heybridge Basin.

Any donation you can give will be fantastic and I hope will go towards giving anyone impacted by a terminal illness the support they & their families need through tough times.
