Story
I will be running the London Marathon this year for a dear friend and a charity very close to my heart.
12 years ago, myself and two very good friends had a reunion to catch up as we had not seen each other for some time.
That evening, whilst out together, our friend Luke went missing and to this day, 12 years on, we still do not know what happened to him.
What happened that evening has deeply affected Luke's close family, as well as myself and best friend who were with him that evening and many other people who loved Luke dearly.
It saddens me as I write these words thinking of the time that has passed without Luke in our lives and the many questions that remain unanswered still not knowing to this day what has happened to our friend.
I will be doing my utmost to surpass my personal best of 4:09hrs and finish the Marathon for Luke and Missing People in 3:50hrs.
I ask anyone reading this to dig deep and sponsor me in my challenge as without your support the service which Missing People provides individuals/families across the UK would not be possible.
Information about Missing People:
- Every Year 250,000 people go missing in the UK alone and more than half are children.
- The impact for friends and families left behind can be devastating, leaving them in limbo and desperate to hear their loved one is safe.
