We address the stigma of poor mental health to promote positive mental wellbeing

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi, I'm Zac Wilkinson, 28 and living in Preston. I'm co-director of a local building company and a full time school links lecturer at Preston's college.

During the outbreak of COVID-19 I've been stunned by how united our local community has been at helping the less fortunate. Whether it be vulnerable family members, elderly neighbours or simply getting behind local charities to make a positive difference to our area.

As a passionate educator and advocate for increased mental health awareness, I'm very much in sync with the impact COVID-19 has had on the wellbeing of our learners.

Additionally, my mum was a care worker for several years working her way up to managing a local care agency in Preston when i lived at home. From early on in life i was very much aware of the resilience, dedication and selflessness health care workers have.

For that reason, My charities: St Catherine's Hospice and Mates in Mind have been chosen to support the local community and promoting positive mental wellbeing within construction and education alike.
