Story
My amazing cousin Scarlett was born with Cystic Fibrosis, and ever since I was young I’ve been passionate about supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, raising money and helping to share awareness of this condition.
Scarlett has always been a huge inspiration to me, and I’ve always wanted to do whatever I can to support her and others living with CF, especially after seeing how inspirational my parents have been in supporting her and the fight against CF too. Running has given me a way to do that, and what started with the London Marathon in 2023 has grown into something I never expected.
On Saturday 12th of September, I’m taking on my biggest challenge yet — the Thames Path 100km.
100km is going to be a huge physical and mental challenge, and I’m sure there will be plenty of moments where I question why I thought this was a good idea! But knowing that I’m doing it for a cause that means so much to me makes every mile worthwhile.
I’m incredibly proud and grateful that, thanks to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey, we have now raised over £4,400 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. I genuinely cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity, kind messages and continued support.
I’ll continue to use every challenge I take on to raise money and awareness for CF, and hopefully help in some small way towards a future where Cystic Fibrosis no longer has the impact it does today.
For now, there’s 100km to run.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far, and if you’re able to donate, every single penny really does make a difference. 💛
This is a fight we will win. 💛
About Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic condition that affects the lungs, digestive system and other organs. It causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the body, making it difficult to clear infections and breathe properly, while also causing problems with digestion and absorbing nutrients. Living with CF means dealing with daily treatment, medication and the ongoing challenges that come with a life-limiting condition.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to supporting everyone affected by CF and working towards a future where people with CF can live a life unlimited by their condition. They fund vital research into new and better treatments, support improvements in CF care, campaign for access to life-changing medicines and provide practical information, advice and support to people with CF and their families.
