On Thursday 5th Sept, our Zone which covers stores in the North of England, Scotland and Ireland, are joining forces on a huge bike ride in which teams from all our 7 regions will cover a total of 2103 miles, visit 120 of our stores and over 500 colleagues will join us at some stage.

My Dad died of Cancer at 59 and I saw this as an opportunity to do something for someone else and this worthy cause seemed to to be the right one.

I have never cycled since a child and although I bought a bike last year, only did a few miles so this was going to be a challenge for me!

Our team of riders starts on the 5th Sept in Warrington and cycles out to Liverpool visiting 3 stores before moving on to Crosby, Southport then heading in land to Preston. On day 2 we head to Darwen, Clitheroe, then up to Longridge, Garstang finishing in Lancaster. On Day 3 we leave Lancaster for my store in Morecambe before starting the long ride to Cockermouth. Finally on the Sunday morning we ride the 30 miles to Carlisle where the other 9 teams will all descend around lunch time.

This will be a big challenge and I have been training as much as I can so please show your support, however little, as everything you enter will make the effort that bit more worth while.
