We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. As many of our close friends and family know, Yvonne Finneran peacefully passed away on Sunday 10th May.  She was with her husband, Gerard at the time.  A beautiful wife, mother, nana and best friend - she meant the world to so many people.  Never one for show or attention, Yvonne would want her wishes respected; these are that people give someting to a charity that helped her and her family during the last 18 months of her life.  Rather than cards gathering dust (as she would say!) and flowers dying and leaving no lasting memory, Yvonne wanted to help and support others.

As many of her friends and family have stated, 'the world was a brighter place with her in it'.  She was a guiding light for everybody and an inspiration to all who knew her.  She will be sadly missed, but she is now at peace.  Her final gift in life was her donation to research - it is hoped that one day there will be cure for this painful disease.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Motor Neurone Disease Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.
