Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
A year ago on the 16th October cancer took my sole mate away. His cancer was squamous cell carcinoma and caught early was 85% curable... maybe it was, but in Mick's case cancer decided it was not going to play ball. It started in 2012 came back 2013 and terminal Feb 2104.. no one could believe what was happening, it shouldn't have happened according to the medical profession but it was and the reason, Micks cancer was a rogue cancer. So you see we can never give up researching cancer because it will continue to change and progress in different ways. The medical profession need the research to know what to look for and not just follow the path that a particular cancer should take but look for signs it could be doing something different we will then have a better chance on curing even more people.
So to commemorate the 1st anniversary of Mick's passing I am taking to the sky..well sort of I am going to do the 02 walk with Jo and Sades. Now you might think this is no mean feat but for me it is, I am terrified of heights!!!!! It also means a lot because this is something Mick wanted to do (I think just to see if I could get to the top he would have been in hysterics with his muttley laugh).
I am hoping that you will all join me in commemorating Micks first year and donate anything to this cause....
Thank You
