Great North Run 2022 for St Benedict's Hospice

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running this year's Great North Run for St Benedict's Hospice, who took such careful care of my beautiful husband Martin who (it's still so hard to type) passed away on the 21st December 2020 at the age of just 46.

I took up running in February of 2021, as it was recommended to me as a way to make myself get out of the house and focus on something. So, here I am, signed up for the Great North Run in the hope that I can raise funds for St Benedict's so they can continue to help those that need it.

I'll be running in memory of Martin, who would be laughing, very loudly, at the idea of me in a sporting event! Those of you who knew Martin will be more than aware how competitive he was, so I really need to work my socks off to get a good run time and make him proud.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated and thank you to all of you for your kindness and support.
