Story
Hello! I'm a trustee of Lawscot Foundation. In my day job, I'm a law lecturer at the University of Dundee, where I am in charge of admissions to law and widening participation.
Every year the Lawscot Foundation gets a large number of extremely worthy applications for support. We would love to continue our work and provide even more law students with bursaries and mentoring. I will be running the Great Scottish Run 5k on 30th June in aid of the charity. Thanks very much for your support.
Lots of young people have the right stuff to become a solicitor. But some of them won’t make it, simply because they come from less advantaged backgrounds. We think that’s unacceptable – and bad for the diversity of our profession. That’s why we’ve set up the Lawscot Foundation. Please help us support bright young people to overcome financial disadvantage and embark on a legal career by making a donation, considering corporate sponsorship or becoming a mentor.
