Edinburgh Women's Aid has been supporting women and children in Edinburgh affected by domestic abuse for the past 47 years. They provide a range of crisis, therapeutic and prevention services. Last year EWA supported almost 2000 women and over 150 children in Edinburgh to recover from the trauma of domestic abuse. Since the start of the pandemic, there has been an increase in instances of domestic abuse and a surge in demand for support services across the UK. Women and children whose lives are affected need our help now more than ever. This year instead of asking for gifts we're asking for donations to both ensure that women and children supported by EWA have a brighter Christmas and also to provide food and other essentials over the coming months.
