We provide support services and work to reduce the number of baby deaths

Story

Sands has been a charity close to my heart since they supported myself and my family after my baby sister, Hope, was stillborn in 2008. Training for this trip has been the biggest challenge I have ever set myself, but the thought of raising money for this fantastic charity has continually motivated me. Money raised for Sands is used in 3 main ways: to work to reduce the number of stillbirths and neonatal deaths through research, to provide support for those affected by the death of a baby, and to provide information for professionals caring for bereaved families.

17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after death every day in the UK, and Sands are working to reduce this figure.

Many thanks to this events official sponsors The Chocolate Bar, and to Unicycle UK who have donated the unicycle used for this trip!

Donations can be made through this page, or by texting YOSH93 to 70070.
