The Royal Marines Club is a global network with more than 8,000 members worldwide. Founded to provide an informal way for serving and veteran Royal Marines and their families to stay connected with the Corps.

Story

With a combined age of 150, three members of YO Sep 94, Colonel Reggie Turner, Lawrie Campbell and Chris Vincent, will be taking on The Royal Marines Iron Challenge as a team on September 19th, 2021 to raise money for the Royal Marines Charity. Two other batch members - Neil Haycock and Rich Hopkins - will be supporting the team by paddling safety kayaks, repairing decrepit limbs, executing high-speed van-bike nutrition transfers and peeling the oranges.

The Royal Marines Charity exists to help the entire Royal Marines family offering a range of services to wounded veterans and their dependants. The Iron Challenge is an ironman distance triathlon including a 2.4 mile sea swim, 112 mile bike around Devon/ Dartmouth (climbing the equivalent of Ben Nevis twice) and a trail marathon, 26.2 miles along the South West Coastal Path with a total climb of 3,500m.
