A cause close to my heart, my little Nanny had many things to contend with in her life but dementia was by far the hardest to watch her go through. We lost her before she passed away and it was so hard to see her loose who she truly was. 

For years before she passed I missed her, our conversations the advice I could go to her for and the comfort of knowing she knew me better than I knew myself. But that had gone, and she battled her mind and thoughts daily.
