The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
This challenge is most certainly out of my comfort zone and anybody who knows me personally can vouch that I am not normally someone who lives a very active lifestyle!!
I work as a Regional Community Relations Lead for Hamberley Care Homes, luxury dementia care providers. On a daily basis, I support families with a loved one who is currently living with Dementia.
In my spare time, I am a volunteer Dementia Champion & I am passionate in ensuring I can get as many people as possible to become Dementia Friends and support more people living with dementia to live better.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
