Story
Steph is running, in a continuous effort, 80 miles over Yorkshires' 10 highest peaks on the 24th of Apr in aid of two very worthy charities, the Cave Rescue Organisation and the mental health charity Mind.
The route will be starting in Horton in Ribblesdale and going over
Ingleborough
Whernside
Crag hill
Great Coum
Swarth Fell Pike
High seat, Gregory Chapel & Hugh seat
Great Shunner Fell
Whether Fell
Cragdale Moor
Buckden Pike
Great Whernside
Darnbrook
Fountains Fell
and Penyghent
This will be a continuous effort on foot with no sleep. They hope to do it in less than a day and a half.
Steph, and the original two other participants Helen and Jill (who now due to injury cannot complete the whole round) are volunteers for the Cave Rescue Organisation, the cave and mountain rescue organisation based in the Yorkshire Dales, a service that relies entirely on upon volunteers and fundraising to survive. Sadly due to the necessary social distancing the team have not been able to do their normally fundraising activities and so they desperately rely on people like you to take the time to donate via the likes of JustGiving.
Similarly, it is super important to support the essential services of mental health charities like Mind, especially considering the toll the pandemic and its resultant lockdowns have had on children and adults alike.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
