Story
Wish us luck! Straight out of lockdown my cousin Lou and I are training to trek the Yorkshire 3 peaks in aid of Alzheimer's Society! The charity had to postpone this challenge event from May to September due to coronavirus, and whilst 2020 has tried to stop us, we are determined to take on this adventure for a wonderful and important cause, in memory of our Nana, Mary Fleming. We sadly lost Nana in 2017 after her own battle with Dementia. She was a huge part of the family, loved by all, very missed, and always in our thoughts.
Alzheimer's Society mission is that until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. They campaign for change and fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today. They are United Against Dementia.
2020 has been a hard year, and we face uncertain times. It is a very challenging time for everyone in our communities and even more so for vulnerable people living with, adapting to, or for people losing a loved one to this awful disease. We hope that our efforts to raise funds in Nana's memory, for our loved ones currently affected by Dementia and those we fondly remember who have passed, will make a real difference to people in great need. We know this is a hard time financially for many households, so if you can spare a few pounds, and/or even a share this would mean a lot to us. Thank you so much for your support and we'll be sure to keep you updated with our progress! Lou and Cat xxx
