Story

On July 31st two members of Rachel Whittaker's Stamford Bridge Community Choir, Debbie Wilson & Kate Mallender are cycling a hilly (!!) 61k to raise money for York Against Cancer as our wonderful choir director Rachel is undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer.

The route is a scenic circular 61km route to the west side of Carlton Lodge. After a short stretch on the main road we head off onto quiet country lanes through several small pretty villages out towards Snape Castle, Thorpe Perrow and onto Bedale. A short climb into Thornton Watlass and a feed station (cake, did someone mention cake!!) which is approximately half way round. Once refreshed we will head back via Well and Wath and more beautiful little lanes. The route has just over 1,000ft of climbing in total, and consists of small inclines, lots to enjoy whilst raising money for a very worthwhile cause.

Please sponsor us if you can,

Debbie & Kate xx
