Story

After a lot of thought, I've got a good reason to push my self even more.

From 3rd until 9th August 2015, I will be running from the New Forest (Southampton area for those who don't know) to Land's End. Yep I will be doing 7 Ultra's in 7 days.

Day 1 - Fritham (New Forest) to Dorchester
Day 2 - Dorchester to Honiton
Day 3 - Honiton to Torquay
Day 4 - Torquay to Devonport
Day 5 - Devonport to Lanhydrock House
Day 6 - Landyrock House (including the Parkrun) to Blackwater
Final day - Blackwater to Land's End, Cornwall.

Now for the reason, I'm doing this off my own back but the reason why apart from stupidity is I'm raising money for a cancer charity (which one is to be confirmed) because a good long time friend who is also Ex Army was given the news no one wants to hear recently and unfortunately with the worse possible outcome. Obviously money won't help him directly but it may assist others in the future with the cancer he was diagnosed with.

Now I don't expect anyone of my good friends will join me running the whole route, however it would be great if some would run for bits (may raise some money too) or be on the support crew following me helping me (even carry some buckets to collect). Why New Forest? It's where my friend set up home when he moved from Cornwall.

P.s get this trending #YOLO7dayUltra

As well as this I will now be running:
Paris Marathon
Hope24 Ultra
Ultra12
Equinox24 Ultra
Snowdonia Marathon as well various other races totalling 37 events for the year!

About the charity

OCHRE works to raise awareness of oesophageal cancer, a hard to treat, less survivable cancer. We fund research to support better outcomes. We work with health services and policy makers to improve understanding of the dangers of heartburn and the need for earlier diagnosis which can save lives.
