CoCo's Foundation supports orphans in South Africa including their Build4TheFuture programme providing a home for child-headed families in the Kwa-Zulu-Natal region.  This local charity was inspired by Eileen's grandson Ed 10 years ago when he was working for local hair salon owner Chris Connors. Ed in fact met his future wife on one of the earlier build trips and as the Foundation has grown, so has Ed's family with 3 great grandsons for his Nan.  Eileen has supported this charity from its first trip, and has enjoyed seeing the amazing work they do, following every subsequent volunteer trip through their facebook page. As a family, we would now like to raise the funds to build a house in Eileen's name in August 2022, with some of her own grandchildren participating in the trip to build this very special house and meet the orphan family whose lives will be transformed.  It will be a fitting tribute to a lovely Mum, Nan & Great-Nan, who fundraised and supported many local groups and charities all of her life.  She always thought of others before herself and enjoyed giving rather than receiving.

UPDATE JUNE 2022: Following the last 2 Covid years we are now close to giving the go ahead for Mum's house to be built by The Cocos Foundation. However, my brother & I also lost our dear foster brother Akin Ogunleye last September to an illness bravely fought. Akin lived with us for his first 6 years. He and his whole family have been very much a part of ours ever since.  David & I have decided that we would now like to dedicate this house in memory of both Mum and Akin who both loved each other dearly.
