Story
I'm taking part in the YMCA DownsLink Challenge and helping to tackle youth homelessness and enable young people to access vital therapeutic counselling, emotional health and support and advice services.
YMCA DownsLink Group is a charity that works to prevent youth homelessness across Sussex and Surrey, as well as providing free therapeutic and youth services to young people.
75% of the funds donated through this fundraising page will help to support our YMCA Youth Services in West Sussex, this includes:
- The YAC (Youth Advice Centre) in Crawley, offering holistic support to young people aged 11-25 through our Support & Advice & Homelessness Prevention drop-ins, LGBTQU+ Haven and POC Youth Groups.
- West Sussex Mind The Gap Emotional Health Support (Emotional health support for young people aged 11-25 who are falling through the gaps in other service provisions, including specialist CSE Prevention work).
- Sussex-Wide Room To Rant Service (Giving young men aged 16-25 a space to get stuff off their chests through rap, spoken word and hip hop sessions. Young men can benefit from access to free counselling).
On behalf of the young people YMCA DLG supports, thank you!
