高中时，我选择跟随一位公共艺术家“吉木老师”上选修课，不仅是因为当时他是奇葩说的装置艺术家觉得很酷，更因为我对他的两个艺术作品印象特别深刻。

他来自海南，小时候总在海边自由的奔跑晚上，大海就是他的天然游乐场。然后当他在北京读完社会学，再回到海南时却发现沙滩上漂浮了很多废料，于是他将一些从来海里捡来的人工废物放进了相框里，制作成艺术品。很多人乍一看可能会觉得，这好当代艺术或者有种包豪斯的感觉之类的，却不知这是我们扔进海里的废物。

他的另一个作品更加让人难忘，是从海中收集了成百上千个材料残渣碎片，然后把它们拼凑成了一直巨大的鲸鱼。

我自己在大二暑假突发奇想也做过一个艺术性的珠宝设计，我管它叫“从海”  https://www.yifeidesign.com/?pgid=k8rcw7uj-b758212f-5ba2-47be-9f8d-7580536cbd95  （复制这个link到导航栏查看照片）。这是一组看上去很像是用海中贝壳做的珠宝，然而它其实是从海里来的塑料瓶。

到前不久，三个月前我开始做了一个“减少留学生资源浪费”的项目，想为环保真的做点什么。 在做项目的过程中，我遇到了一位组员，他叫Brook，他告诉我在他看见RE:source idea的第一刻，他就很喜欢，觉得这是件他愿意投入时间精力去做的事儿。 因为他曾在gap year穷游世界时，在某个很美丽的小岛潜水，好不容易潜到了海底，却发现那里全是垃圾... 很是唏嘘...

不知道你会不会和我一样，有时想去做一件好事儿，结果因为自己力量、能力的渺小和经验的匮乏，一不小心会弄巧成拙。 

对于环保做为一个初学者，我很努力的探索了三个月，现在遇到了些瓶颈，但是我还是会一直努力去尝试。 一路上会犯很多错误，会被误解，会受伤，会很难，但是因为它重要啊... 就算从头再来一遍，保护地球生态、资源依然是我们现在最迫在眉睫的。

正巧，我参与了这个慈善跑活动，发现资助项目里有这样一个海洋生态保护项目，所以我决定能做点是点，多少出份力。

我将在9月份跑步100公里，募资500磅来支持Zanzibar的海洋保护。

Haroun is an English teacher from Zanzibar. He had been working as a snorkel guide for a local dive shop and was shocked about the state of the reefs, the fishing practices used by local fishermen, and the trash on the beaches of his island, Zanzibar. He tried talking to the fishermen and the local people by explaining the fragility of the environment and its ecosystems and the need to keep them clean and in good health. He realized that most people he spoke to didn't how important a healthy ocean was and decided to do something about it. Haroun has launched his own organisation to educate and raise awareness, but also to inspire and motivate people in Zanzibar to make changes to protect the coral reefs of his island. However, he has no funds to do this. All he has is his time and passion. We want to help Haroun achieve his aim and protect his ocean and we are asking for your support.
