Story
On the 27th August 2020, Ali and Cal received the terrible news that their dad was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive terminal brain cancer. Being told your Dad has cancer is something you can never prepare for and we want to do as much as we can to help families like theirs fight this awful disease.
My cycling experience stretches no further than Clapham Junction to Clapham North on a Boris Bike or an Alex Toussaint HIIT on my mums Peleton, however, I have ordered my first road bike (due December 8th) and on the 30th of June 2021 with Ali, Cal and the company of 26 others, will be cycling from Clapham to Cornwall to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, the charity is set on finding new treatments, offering support and driving urgent change.
We will also be cycling in memory of Roger Whyle, who sadly passed away on the 5th of May. A local legend who had an amazing impact on so many lives, Rog will join our group as the 30th rider.
Day 1 - London to Salisbury (158km)
Day 2 - Salisbury to Taunton (115km)
Day 3 - Taunton to Plymouth (131km)
Day 4 - Plymouth to Falmouth (114km)
Total = 525km
Thanks, Yeoy
