We are aiming to raise £9,600 to sponsor 20 orphans in Yemen.
From Sahl bin Sa’ad (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: “The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:
“I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise,” showing his middle and index fingers and separating them.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]

With prolonged political deadlock and armed campaigns, the widespread conflict in Yemen has led to the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians – many of them children – and the displacement of more than 2 million people.
About 60% of the country’s population is classified as food insecure and, according to the UN agency UNESCO, about 2 million children are acutely malnourished and there are over 1 million acutely malnourished pregnant and breastfeeding women (figures Aug 2019).
In April 2018, the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said that the Yemen crisis had become the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. More than a year later, the situation is unchanged.
In response to the growing needs of host communities and blockaded areas, Islamic Help’s team in Yemen is providing desperately needed emergency assistance in the form of food, water and medical aid, as well as support for orphans and disabled children..
