Story
It has become tradition that every year for Hospice Care Week, someone gets gunged. This year, the brave volunteers are CEO Tracey Bleakley, and directors Claire Henry, and Sue Wixley. The gunging will be livestreamed on Facebook at 2pm on Thursday 11 October from the basement in Hospice House, and this year we're giving you the opportunity to do the honours!
The top three donations will win the right to gunge either Tracey, Claire or Sue (if you have a preference, make sure you write it alongside your donation!) And remember, if you're particularly keen to win, you can always donate more than once... Happy gunging!
Hospice Care Week is taking place from 8-14 October! This years theme is Heart my hospice, which gives us the perfect excuse to go out and talk about the extraordinary work that hospices do at the heart of their communities. It takes a lot of love to give people the end of life care they need and deserve. Lots of people, resources and money go to make hospice care possible, but it is only possible because people like you, care. The heart is the pump that makes everything else work. There are many ways you can say I Heart My Hospice!Hospice care transforms lives. It is there for us through life, through death and through grief. Every year in the UK, hospices provide vital care to 200,000 adults and children with terminal or life-limiting illnesses, as well as providing support for many of their loved ones.
