Story
In memory of Mehmet
Following a diagnosis in November 2019, cancer only let Mehmet live until 24th February 2020. His final wish was to be laid to rest in Cyprus, in the village he grew up in under the pine trees. We managed to repatriate him on the 9th March and hold a lovely traditional service. We shared his 51st birthday on the 12th March out in Cyprus together.
Due to the lockdown's we then got stuck for 1 month.
We have many plans to do many fundraisers in memory of Dad as he was known so widely but due to the endless pandemic we've been unable to fulfil anything in the UK.
So taking on the 2 mile walk a day for every day in February, is a safe way for us to start our fundraising for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice during the 3rd lockdown.
We would be thankful to receive any donation, even a share on social media as a daily cost to run the hospice for 1 person is around £10,000. So with any help we'd like to be able to give back a small fraction towards our Dad's care.
On the 24th February we will be doing a longer walk covering 12 miles to mark the 1 year passing of Dad.
We will be sharing our walks, photographs on social media if you'd like to follow us!
Lots of love, Yazzy, Sevi, Court and Landy xxx
